STAYCLEAR & CLEARVIEW +
STAYCLEAR & CLEARVIEW + are two special metallic coatings laid on the
KERALITE/PYROCERAM material at high temperatures.
Both have been designed to increase the heat of the ceramic glass during the
wood combustion and to bring it rapidly over 450°C/ 840°F ( on its inside
surface ).
At such a temperature, not only the combustion soot can not stick on the
ceramic glass surface but, if there is some already, due to a regulated slow
combustion, it will be partly burned after a bigger fire and much easier to
clean then.
Moreover, these special coatings reduce the heat loss through the window for a
higher combustion efficiency.
It is then particularly recommended for extra large fireplaces or those which
have several glazed sides.
These very thin IR reflective coatings are almost invisible. Just a slight
metallic glint can be noticed on there surface.
Both KERALITE STAYCLEAR and CLEARVIEW + meet the criteria listed in the normal
KERALITE standard specification and then supports a continuous use at 600°C
(1200°F).
To be efficient, the coated surface has to be the outside face of the stove or
fireplace.
These layers are both electrically conductive and the surface on which they are
can be easily found with a simple ohmmeter.
